Our story

Homegrown flowers have been cherished for generations in families up and down the country. We use them to mark life's significant moments and as a lovely backdrop for our daily lives. At Madge & Ivy, we take pride in upholding this tradition of appreciation for small and big things.

We grow proper seasonal flowers that pay tribute to the values and wisdom passed down through generations of home growers. Utilising traditional methods, we offer a variety of British flowers that can be gifted to friends or loved ones to enrich your home and life.

Our flowers are perfect for treasured vessels,
from your Aunt’s favourite kitchen jug to your neighbour’s fancy urn. We are firm in promoting
a sustainable approach to floristry that can be passed down to future generations to keep the love and legacy of flowers flourishing.

Meet Madge & Ivy

I grew up in Lincolnshire, surrounded by my grandparents' love and wisdom. As a little girl, I spent countless hours busy on their allotment, playing in their gardens, catching butterflies, and making rose perfume with friends. I vividly remember picking armfuls of sweet peas and chrysanthemums each year with my grandmother Madge and sharing them with my school teachers. My other grandmother, Ivy, taught me needlecraft, baking, and the art of arranging flowers. It felt right to name my business after them, honouring the women who inspired my love for nature and creativity.

Julie Woodford, grower & arranger

“ There's nothing better than the moments shared with loved ones - surrounded by the sweet scents of carefully nurtured flowers,
all while enjoying the good company of friends
and family.”

Inspired by love and legacy.
